Summit Radiology Services, originally
known as Cartersville Radiology Group, is a radiology
practice dedicated to providing quality diagnostic and
interventional radiology services in the North Georgia
area since 1987. Over the past 20 years, Summit Radiology
Services has grown to a practice with 11 subspecialty-trained
radiologists with a support staff, management team and
a billing service. In 2007, due to the extensive growth
and expanded radiology services, and in keeping with our
vision to become a premier radiology service company encompassing
an area not limited to Cartersville, Georgia, we changed
our name to Summit Radiology Services, PC.
Since July 2002, we have owned and operated our first
imaging center, Marietta Imaging Center located in Marietta,
Georgia. This center provides cutting edge quality Magnetic
Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography,
Bone Densitometry, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound and Digital
Conventional Radiology.
Summit Radiology Services consists of board-certified,
fellowship-trained radiologists that provide 24-hour reading
services for local hospitals which include Cartersville
Medical Center, Murray Medical Center and Piedmont Mountainside
Hospital. Our professional interpretation services have
developed through the years with the use of teleradiology
which enables us to receive full-quality digital images
from all of our locations at high speed to enable the
quickest delivery of healthcare possible.
In addition to hospital radiology services, we also provide
over-read services for a variety of physician practices,
as well as contract services to better serve our patients
and clinical physicians needs.
